Director’s Message

As the saying goes, respect the training, honor the commitment, and cherish the results. Today, the greatest challenge the Indian education system facing is how to bridge the skill gaps. It was in 2009-10 when Govt. realized that university degrees were not in sync with the changing Industry requirements and the figures evidently indicated a wide mismatch between educational degrees and jobs. Though having the world’s youngest population, India barely had 5% of a formally skilled workforce- whereas in comparison the developed nations were thriving on more than 75% formally skilled workforce. The challenge before the nation therefore was not of employment but of employability. Following time, the Olive Heritage working in conformity with National Mission ‘Skill India’ decided to participate and impart integrated and quality training adhering toNational occupation standards and pass out employable & job-ready candidates.

My third-generation Army background and my imbibed belief in hard work, sincerity, and military traditions compelled me to build a Vocational Centre on strong fundamentals. The foundation of The Olive HeritageFoundation, therefore, is greatly influenced by the ethos and traditions of The Indian Army.

Ever since its inception, Olive Heritage as the NSDG, SSC, State Skill Missions, and DGR Training Partner has conducted a considerable number of courses in the field of Security, Facility Management, Agriculture, Sports and Management sector. We have also successfully conducted CSR projects for IOCL, HONDA Motors, and others. As specially earmarked NSDC Institute, the Olive Heritage was selected to impart skill training fordestitute women rescued by Delhi Police and closely monitored by Govt. of Delhi NCT and Hon’ble Delhi High Court for empowering and rehabilitation.

In pursuit of excellence since 09 March 2009, The Olive Heritage (NGO) has transformed itself from a one-man Army to a premier skill Training institute in India. I wish to share with gratitude and immense pride that in over a decade, the Olive Heritage following the mission of “excellence through skills” has trained and passed out an incredible one lakh skilled candidates. As an Army veteran and patriotic citizen of India, this is my humble contribution to the “Skill India Mission”.
